Synergistic Effect of Alkali Na and K Promoter on Fe-Co-Cu-Al Catalysts for CO2 Hydrogenation to Light Hydrocarbons

چکیده
Alkali metal K- and/or Na-promoted FeCoCuAl catalysts were synthesized by precipitation and impregnation, their physicochemical catalytic performance for CO2 hydrogenation to light hydrocarbons was also investigated in the present work. The results indicate that Na K introduction leads formation of active phase metallic Fe Fe-Co crystals order < K-Na. simultaneous causes a synergistic effect on increasing basicity electron-rich property, promoting sites Fe@Cu Fe-Co@Cu with Cu0 as crystal core. These effects are advantageous H2 dissociative adsorption activation, giving high conversion hydrogenation. Moreover, (110) (200) provide centers further O-C-Fe intermediate after CO produced RWGS. It is beneficial carbon chain growth C2+ hydrocarbons, including olefins alkanes. simultaneously modified K-Na exhibits highest selectivity 52.87 mol% 89.70 mol%, respectively.

Response to Comment on "Active sites for CO2 hydrogenation to methanol on Cu/ZnO catalysts".
In their Comment on the our recent Report, Nakamura et al argue that our x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis was affected by the presence of formate species on the catalyst surface. This argument is not valid because the reactant gases were evacuated at temperatures from 525 to 575 kelvin, conditions under which formate is not stable on the catalyst surface. An analysis of the XPS r...
متن کاملEffect of Pt on Zn-Free Cu-Al Catalysts for Methanol Steam Reforming to Produce Hydrogen
Steam reforming of methanol can be considered as an attractive reaction aiming at hydrogen production for PEM fuel cells. Although Cu/Al-contained catalysts are considerably evaluated in this reaction, further evaluation is essential to evaluate the impact of some promoters like Pt in order to find a comprehensively optimized catalyst. Pt promoter is employed with different methods in this ...

Kattel et al (Reports, 24 March 2017, p. 1296) report that a zinc on copper (Zn/Cu) surface undergoes oxidation to zinc oxide/copper (ZnO/Cu) during carbon dioxide (CO2) hydrogenation to methanol and conclude that the Cu-ZnO interface is the active site for methanol synthesis. Similar experiments conducted two decades ago by Fujitani and Nakamura et al demonstrated that Zn is attached to format...

Effect of calcium promoter on nano structure iron catalyst for Fischer–Tropsch synthesis
The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) has been recognized as a heterogeneous surface-catalyzed polymerization process. During this process, CHx monomers formed via the hydrogenation of adsorbed CO on transition metals produce hydrocarbons and oxygenates with a broad range of chain lengths and functional groups. A series of Fe/Cu Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalysts incorporated with a calcium prom...
